  1. Have you been to Peru before? Did you see any of the things I mentioned in the video? Let me know in the comments!

  2. Hi Nicki I agree with what you say. You have to be careful. It is best to have a guide where you can take excellent restaurants at a good price, to make a quality experiential tourism and visit museums safely.
I loved your Inca Kola polo. Where can I get it too?
    Good vibes Nicki.
    Thank you.

  3. I think this just might be the first "Top anything" video I've seen that started listing things off right away. I'm glad there's videos like these, I can't tell how many tourists and would-be visitors I've tipped off over the years.

  4. Thumbs up! Sadly, most of what you said is true, you can always ask to lower the prices since they charge ridiculous amounts of money if you look foreigner. Great video and keep up the good work!

  6. Hey Nicki, found your video from the subreddit. Good points, even locals suffer with the overcharging sometimes. Definitely everyone will want to charge you more when they hear your gringa accent. So everywhere you go you can bargain for a cheaper price. Vendors are used to it

  7. So disagree and disappointed.
Why do you think they overcharged then? Cause they're registered drivers, if you want cheap taxi rides just wait in any corner and you can pay even lower than Uber fees, but who knows if you will be safe just for trying to get the cheapest. I came to Peru for vacation with my wife and being in Aguas Calientes we never had to pay for what you just said, sad cause I traveled in a lot of places for example if you're in Vegas they automatically charge you an extra fee which they called resort fee, they even said to me also allows the use of internet. Really in a 4 stars hotel? Anyway I totally agree with few things you said but that happens everywhere in Latinoamerica and doesn't make it right, then don't say the Peru is a beautiful country when your video says otherwise. I'm unsuscribing cause I wasn't expecting such a negative thing in a video or a country is trying to do the things right out there. Just for the records they overcharged anyone who allows it regardless if you're Peruvian or a foreigner, but the difference is local people knows how to ask for lower price and Uber is not as safe as you think. Also in Peru is not normal about people tipping your server cause is not mandatory like in other places like the USA which is where I live servers get minimum wage and they rely on tips, when I have been several times at restaurants I noticed people don't tip for the service who knows if it's true or not about the special fee, whether is true or not I don't think is right but that might be the explanation why. Good luck

  8. I wouldn't use Uber in Peru, not safe and they scam you. I use the app Beat which is similar to Uber but guaranteed safer!

  9. Larcomar to jockey plaza in public transport is like 3.5 soles ≈ 1dollar,
In aguascalientes try to eat where locals eat, usually not to great like the restaurants for tourists but it is a lot more cheaper, and you don't need to tip or give extra money.(maybe they try to scam you anyway whit the price because you are tourist, but try to ask for other person first near for the price maybe? )

  12. Hi Nicki, thank you for your advices, I went to Cuzco 20 years ago and notice many things have changed. I hope to visit Cuzco again. 👀

  13. I made the mistake of eating in a restaurant in Aguascalientes without looking the reviews. They told me I have to pay more money because I was using credit card and for the service. That pissed me off so much and I argued with the manager. To make it short the story, she made me a "discount" of 3 dollars. I was like "discount? Really?" 😅
By the way, I found one good inexpensive restaurant that doesn't charge you for service or other things. It's placed in the second main Avenue.

  15. Restaurants in aguas calientes are really bad and expensive. I think The mayor of Aguas calientes does not take care of the tourist that are going to visit this place.

  16. I am Peruvian and by your appearance anyone would think that you are easy to deceive, in this video you show that you do not have a dumb hair, if you knew more about Peru. you will realize that you can find much more comfortable prices

  17. I went to Peru and loved it. The food was great and so was the people.

But as you mention, there are a few bad apples. I was scammed in the street by a "young artist" and I bought him a painting of alpacas that they were selling everywhere. lol

  18. Cant you do something positive about Perú,?..ummm about the pics with the baby alpacas…cant you tell me if in usa something is free?
